THE REFUSE MIXTAPE by Tiny Tapes
ref·use 2/ˈrefˌyo͞os/nounnoun: refuse
matter thrown away or rejected as worthless; trash. ”Heaps of refuse”
indicate or show that one is not willing to do something. ”I refused to answer”
The Refuse Mixtape theme plays on the dual meaning of the word refuse and a woman’s determination to believe in the goodness of love in spite of being discarded and treated like trash in harmful past relationships.
This project–two years in the making–explores a woman’s full journey into self-love, through the traumas and triggers of loving and living life. Enjoy.
